| Annotation: | The article provides for parameters and main economic indicators of agricultural companies’ activity of Volgograd region in dynamics for 2000—2013. The growth dynamic of gross production is studied. The main economic indicators of the regional agricultural companies’ activity are examined. Analysis of agricultural industries development is conducted. Analysis of economic effectiveness of the water-melon, melon and gourd growing is presented. Assessment of changes of the agricultural production profitability is provided. Trends of development of different areas of the agro-industrial complex are revealed; priority directions of implementation of the Strategy of development of rural areas and effective functioning of the agro-industrial complex of the region through 2020 are discussed. |
