OVERVIEW OF THE METHODS OF TARIFF REGULATION OF ELECTRIC GRID COMPANIES IN RUSSIA AND ABROAD

The article provides an overview of methods of tariff regulation of the electric grid companies used in power transmission. Domestic and foreign experience of the tariff regulation by electric grid companies is examined. The methods of the tariff regulation by the electric grid companies based on economically justified costs and the methods of incentive regulation are analyzed. Types, advantages and disadvantages, and scope of application are determined for each group of methods. The tendency of the last 5 years is studies, namely the transition to RAB-regulation in the electric grid complex; the consequences of such transition are analyzed. The conclusion about impossibility of implementation of such method of tariff regulation by the Russian electric grid companies in the current socio-economic conditions is made.
