EVALUATION OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR FIXED ASSETS RENEWAL BY THE SERVICE COMPANIES OF INLAND WATER TRANSPORT

The article evaluates economic opportunities for fixed assets renewal by the companies operating at the Russian market of inland waterway transport (IWT). The results of production and investment capacities assessment of 12 IWT companies for the period of 2010—2013 are presented. Production capacities implemented by the companies in the inland waterway transport services were evaluated using a nonparametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis. Investment opportunities of fixed assets renewal were assessed using analytical model, which parameters reflect dynamics of the cash-flows and risks of financial, basic and investment activities management. According to the conclusions, the investment opportunities allow only partial renewal of fixed assets in the group of business entities under consideration
