PEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGY OF TEACHING PRESCHOOLERS IN SPORT EXERCISES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF RIDING A BICYCLE)

Annotation:

The article presents the results of a study devoted to the process of teaching children of older preschool age to ride a bicycle. The study was based on development and implementation of pedagogical technology of teaching preschool children to ride a two-wheeled bicycle using modern technical means (bicycle balancer, balance bike, etc.). Experts in the field of preschool physical education note the need to form children’s interest in various types of sport exercises, one of which is not cycling. Despite the fact that in society we observe an increase in the number of people who prefer to use this type of transport for movement, health improvement and interesting leisure (recreation), for most of them, it is a certain difficulty to teach their children to ride a two-wheeled bicycle. In this connection, there is a need to teach preschoolers to ride a bicycle in the conditions of a preschool educational institution. The article reveals the features of the implemented pedagogical technology of teaching children 5—6 years old to ride a two-wheeled bicycle, which was based on the following basic principles: preliminary preparation of preschool children, stages of building the process of teaching to ride, the use of additional technical means. Control exercises developed by the authors for assessing the formation of the skill of cycling are presented, such as: balance, straight, cone, stop, tunnel. The described interpretation of the obtained research results indicates a positive dynamics in the formation of the skills of cycling among older preschoolers from the experimental group. The average group indicator at the end of the pedagogical experiment in all control exercises exceeded three points, that is, the preschoolers coped with all the proposed tasks, which indicate the effectiveness of the developed pedagogical technology for teaching preschool children to ride a bicycle.
