ASSESSMENT OF ADAPTABILITY OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM TO THE GLOBAL CHALLENGES ON THE EXAMPLE OF FUNCTIONING OF THE URAL UNIVERSITIES

In the conditions of the global challenges there is necessity in reflection of a situation in the higher education and self-education in the context of the large-scale social, economic, political, cultural, and other global transformations. As an objective of this research, serves the assessment of adaptability of the higher education system to the conditions of global challenges on the example of functioning of the Ural higher education institutions. For achievement of the goal, the author solves the following problems: proves a pandemic of coronavirus infection of COVID-19 as a new global challenge; estimates adaptation of the higher education system to a new global challenge; offers a number of recommendations for improvement of adaptation of the higher education system to the global challenge in the Ural region. Results of the conducted research demonstrate that the forced remote format of training in the conditions of a pandemic of COVID-19 has average assessment of quality, and the higher education system is low adaptive to the conditions of the global environment. The revealed situation serves as a message for the author’s offers on development of the organization of transition to remote form of education concerning increase of the teachers’ competences of work within the educational high school platforms; the organizations of interuniversity exchange of experience of use of remote technologies of training and also involvement of all students in the process of debugging of a remote format of training.
