PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE SOCIALIZATION OF STUDENTS IN A HETEROGENEOUS EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Annotation:

The paper analyzes the theoretical and experimental aspects of students’ socialization in a heterogeneous educational environment. The author considers different approaches to defining such core concepts as “environment”, “educational environment”, “heterogeneity”, which allows expanding the understanding of the definition of “heterogeneous educational environment”. This analysis allows the author to formulate her own definition of heterogeneous educational environment in the context of combining students with different health, socio-demographic, socio-psychological and individual-typological attributes, having special educational needs in one educational institution. The author considers students’ socialization in a heterogeneous educational environment as a multifactorial process based on the key statement of L. S. Vygotsky’s cultural-historical theory that personality is formed as a result of socio-cultural activity through mediation of communication systems in the process of interiorization. This statement allows us to identify key aspects of the impact of socio-cultural environment on an individual and to identify socio-cultural factors of socialization that are most significant for students with special educational needs, as well as to identify general and specific problems of socialization for each group of heterogeneous students. The author proposes the structure of pedagogical conditions, including organizational, psychological and pedagogical and didactic conditions. The practical significance of the research is reflected in the description of the results of the implementation of pedagogical conditions of socialization of such heterogeneous groups of students as children with disabilities and socially disadvantaged students in an educational institution. The author proposes the implementation of pedagogical conditions through a program of pedagogical activities including social partnership practices. In conclusion the results of the experimental work to identify and implement a set of pedagogical conditions that ensure successful socialization of heterogeneous groups of students are presented.
