THE PROBLEM OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF CONSTRUCTIVISM: A METHODICAL ASPECT

Annotation:

The article is devoted to the problem of patriotic education in the modern world. The authors define the role and place of patriotic education in modern society, showing its importance in the context of Russian state policy. Particular attention is paid to the extent to which the issue has been studied in the modern scientific and pedagogical community. The article highlights and characterizes social and philosophical theses that allow positioning the process of patriotic education as a process of constructing patriotism: the thesis of structuralist constructivism, which determines the exclusive role of consciousness in human activity, and the thesis of social philosophy, which asserts the social nature of patriotism as a characteristic of the individual. The authors define constructivism as a scientific and methodological basis of patriotic education, characterize its specificity and correlate it with a meaningful discourse of patriotism, making a conclusion about the advisability of using constructivist methodology in the process of patriotic education. The article describes the main stages of the construction of patriotism (cognitive, emotional-sensory and behavioral) and highlights the characteristics of each stage in accordance with the specifics of the construction process. The authors focus on the exclusive role of the behavioral stage, confirming their conclusion by appealing to fundamental socio-philosophical trends and theories, and make a legitimate conclusion that it is possible to be a patriot only if the personally carries out patriotic activities. In the final part of the work, special attention is paid to the external factors of the construction of patriotism, which ensure the flow of mediated information about the world into the human mind. The state and historical conditions are singled out as such factors and their specificity in relation to the process of constructing patriotism is characterized.
