The article reveals the main content of the process of creating a developing environment in a preschool educational organization. The continuity of the environment in various premises of a preschool educational organization, the compliance of the subject-spatial environment with the basic requirements of the Federal State Standard for Preschool Education are the fundamental, basic principles of its organization. In order to introduce children of senior preschool age to independent motor activity, to increase their interest in physical education, the educational environment of the institution must be saturated with adequate for this age, safe to use, sports and gaming equipment. In the process of creating a developing environment, it is necessary to actively involve not only the employees of a preschool educational organization, but also the children’s parents. Therefore, one of the conditions for the experimental activity was to conduct interactive master classes for parents on the creation of standard and non-standard sports and gaming equipment. The results obtained in the course of the study testify to the positive impact of the developing educational environment on the physical development of children of senior preschool age, which was expressed in an increase in the motor activity of preschoolers during their stay in kindergarten; in more successful development of such types of movements as walking, running, jumping, climbing and throwing; in the high rates of mastering the program material in the educational field of physical development. The subject-spatial developing environment also had a positive impact on the preschoolers’ parents, which was reflected in the increased interest of the parents in the process of physical education of children in kindergarten; in increasing the parents’ satisfaction with the process of physical education; in the formation of the parents’ competence in the use of standard and non-standard sports equipment in the practice of family education.
