THE MORAL IMPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES IN THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Annotation:

The article, based on the results of the ongoing research, is devoted to the actual problem of using the moral imperative as a basis for the development and implementation of educational practices in the school community. The evolving paradigm of education actualizes the mentioned problem, and educational practices developed on the basis of the moral imperative and implemented in the school community, certainly contribute to the successful socialization of modern schoolchildren, including primary school students. Educational practices, with competent pedagogical support, are significant in the formation of skills and abilities of social interaction, the construction of multidirectional communications that are in unity with the formation of value orientations, moral values of younger schoolchildren. Extracurricular activities of younger schoolchildren create unique conditions for strengthening moral values and studying spiritual and moral traditions of national education; formation of moral consciousness/self-consciousness among schoolchildren; formation of social experience leading to successful socialization; definition of a “hero of his time” in the unity of the culture of feelings, reason, independence and self-realization; development of educational practices in the school community. Extracurricular activities, in their content, directly echo the authors’ provisions, rules and targets set out in the works of researchers devoted to the characteristics of the moral imperative in education: I. Kant, V. N. Soroka-Rosinsky, V. A. Sukhomlinsky, L. N. Tolstoy, K. D. Ushinsky, etc. The text of the work presents refined basic concepts of research and pedagogical conditions developed by the authors; the idea of developing educational practices in the school community based on the moral imperative is proposed; options for pedagogical support of educational practices in the school community are named.
