Digitalization of agriculture in modern conditions should be perceived as a process of improving the technical capacity of the industry by introducing more intelligent machinery and equipment, the use of more progressive production techniques to increase labor productivity and reduce costs. The analysis of livestock by categories of farms demonstrates the interest of agricultural organizations in pig breeding, and peasant (farmer) farms — in dairy production. Analytical alignment of a number of dynamics of average annual milk yield in farms of all categories reveals an annual increase in the indicator by an average of 13.9 kg. The dynamics of the live weight of raised livestock per head for 2010—2021 is characterized by a tendency to grow from 112 to 137 kg, or by 22.3%. According to the polynomial equation, the annual increase in livestock productivity for this period is 4.1 kg. In general, the number of organizations in agriculture is decreasing, due to the consolidation of agricultural production. At the same time, the reduction of unprofitable agricultural organizations is characterized by a higher rate, as a result of which the share of profitable ones increases, which demonstrates the openness of this industry to digitalization. All this makes it possible to approach the issues of the introduction of digital technologies more reasonably on the one hand and the tasks they solve on the other, determining the options for their use. The analysis of the current state of the livestock industry and the systematization of the most common digital technologies, depending on the price category and scale of use, make it possible to classify them by the level of financial capabilities of organizations.
