DESIGNING COMPETITIVENESS OF CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES USING AGILE FAMILY METHODS

Annotation:

The article considers the possibility of using Agile-based flexible management methods to increase the competitiveness of the construction organization, while creating a specific competitive advantage is realized through the implementation of modern design methods such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean. These methods, while analyzing and planning the creation of value streams for each product/project, allow the manufacturer to accurately determine what the value of his product or service is, to further eliminate everything (or almost everything) that doesn’t add value from the consumer`s point of view (Lean concept). The “lean manufacturing” approach, pioneered by Toyota, involves eliminating unnecessary steps, combining all stages of the organization’s activities into a continuous stream while constantly striving for improvement for a more flexible and timely response to changes in the market environment. The main idea of lean production, which is a generalization of some management practices that have shown their effectiveness, is to reduce various types of losses based on interaction. Companies that join the Lean Enterprise concept can make the best use of their collective competitive advantage, and tools such as Scrum and Kanban are used to structure and detail the project «Enhanced Competitiveness» more clearly. The use of this approach based on Agile’s flexible management methods, among which Scrum, Lean and Kanban stand out, will enable the organization to visualize the flow of tasks while limiting work in progress, using a feedback system to correct “quick errors” in time, as well as more clearly structure the advantages of a construction company that will ensure its competitive superiority and sustainability of development in a specific market segment.
