| Annotation: | This article presents the issue of lingual and culturological factors of representation and mastering of the medical knowledge. Medical terminology forms its own lexical-semantic system that is not fixed and is constantly developed. Functionality of medical concepts underlines the process of continuous medical terminology replenishment as reflection of the medicine practical achievements. The lexical stock of the system of medical terms represents a significant part of the vocabulary structure of the modern language and is actively supplemented not only with nominative but also with evocative and figurative lexical items, which allows speaking about conceptualization of medical knowledge by lingual and culturological transformation of the medical terms. |
