BANK SECTOR IN THE PROGRAMS OF INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIA

The article analyses the role of the bank sector in the course of the market reforms and implementation of the program of socio-economic modernization in Russia at the beginning of XXI century. At the turn of 1990th – 2000th in Russia the systematic monetary and credit policy was formed and the strategy of the bank sector development began to implement. The strengthening of the bank system and the measures taken by the government for enabling the bank capital have established the basis for effective participation of the Russian banks in the programs of development of the innovation productions and business structures.
