Adaptation of the experience of Finland in development of the low-rise construction industry for Volgograd region

The article discusses the state of the housing industry of Volgograd region. The state of the housing in European countries had been analyzed and, as a result, the level of backlog of Russia from European countries was formulated. The main reasons of the low level of productivity of construction industry in Russia in comparison with European countries have been formulated. The historical experience of stimulation of the lowrise construction industry in Finland has been analyzed. The comparison data (population, housing, construction rate, GDP per person, mortgage annual percentage rate, etc.) of Finland, Russia and Volgograd region were summarized in the summary table based on statistics. The main factors of stimulation of the low-rise housing industry have been revealed. Based on the analysis of historical experience of Finland, the set of measures for adaptation of this experience in development of the low-rise housing construction industry has been proposed for their impleme ntation in Volgograd region.
