Analysis of the methodological approaches to performance assessment

The author has analyzed the effect of the methodology used in the study of labor productivity on the accuracy of results obtained, and, as a consequence, the relevance of the findings. The present study has determined how the methods used to measure and evaluate, impact the final results of the study; has evaluated the main factors affecting productivity in Russia, as well as has proposed the ways out of the set situation. In the course of the work dynamics of indicators of labor productivity and efficiency of the Russian economics was studied. Based on the research results, the conclusion is made that selection of more precise methodology allows tracking the trends, which otherwise would stay unnoticed.
