Building regional network of the general-purpose warehouses in Volgograd region

In this paper, based on the key socio-economic indicators of the Volgograd region, the areas and towns of the regional subordination are determined, where it is feasible to build a supportive network of the general-use warehouses. The use of the cluster and the ABC-analysis methods resulted in demonstration that construction of the network of distribution and classification warehouses of general use is required in such towns of regional subordination as Volzhsky, Kamyshin, Mikhailovka, as well as in Zhirnovsk, Gorodishche and Kotelnikovo districts of the region. Cluster analysis helped to reveal that the criterion of Investments in fixed assets is a indicator significantly affecting splitting into clusters of the districts and towns of regional subordination of the Volgograd region.
