State and prospects of low-rise construction in Volgograd region

The article discusses the state of the housing sector in Volgograd region (housing per capita in the city and the countryside, the number of tumbledown and repair residential buildings, growth rate of new housing construction and the state of affairs in the individual housing construction). The structure of the gross regional product has been analyzed and the share of the construction industry in the GRP was highlighted. The market of low-rise housing in Volgograd region has been analyzed; and the findings were summarized in the summary table. The main problems that hinder development of the low-rise housing industry in Volgograd region were determined. The set of measures for resolving the problems in order to encourage development of the low-rise housing construction in Volgograd region has been proposed.
